Ed met Jesse about 18 years ago at Von Maur in Decatur. She loved music and piano. They became good friends. When she moved to Wisconsin a few years ago to be closer to granddaughter who was her nearest relative, Ed would go visit her every May and November. He would take his piano and play for her at the place she stayed. Ed and Jesse had birthday's a week a part. Jesse passed shortly after her 99th birthday. Jesse was a sweet, classy lady with a caring and giving heart.
